Ethno-memorial complex "Map of Kazakhstan "Atameken"
The ethno-memorial complex "Map of Kazakhstan "Atameken" was opened on September 8, 2001 in the capital of Kazakhstan on the initiative of President N.Nazarbayev. " This is a unique open-air museum. The map area is 1.7 hectares of urban attractions and historical monuments of Kazakhstan. There are 14 regions and 2 cities of republican significance on the map: Astana and Almaty. It shows all the diversity of natural and climatic zones and landscapes, architecture and urban ensembles. But still the main thing is the monuments of history and culture. In the architectural monuments there are museum expositions of the corresponding period, the Khan's headquarters concert hall, in the craft workshops of the improvised Otrar you can buy products of modern masters of applied art.
